Specialty Practice – Verified Member Application

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.

Verified Members of a Specialty Practice Group (SPG) are recognised by Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) for their expertise and commitment to specialty pharmacy practice. Verified Members are accomplished and invested in the specialty and want to work with AdPha and – where it exists – the SPG Leadership Committees on projects and to promote and develop pharmacy practice in the specialty – and maybe join the SPG Leadership Committee, if one exists in the SPG.

Why join?

Being a Verified Member gives you the opportunity to

  • work with AdPha and, where applicable, the SPG Leadership Committee on publications, CPD, policy submissions and more
  • support the development of your expertise and guide early-career pharmacists and technicians and assistants
  • nominate for election to Leadership Committees, if the SPG has one.

*Reminder* You don’t need to be a Verified Member to get involved in Specialty Practice! Download the AdPha Communities mobile app, or access the AdPha Communities platform via your browser and click Explore Communities (in the Left-Hand menu) and click on the button Join Community to receive all posts from this Community in your home feed, post questions/comments to the members and be notified according to your notification settings.

Complete this form to apply to become a Verified Member.

For your application to be assessed you need to demonstrate your expertise in the specialty by uploading your CV and providing details about your expertise and experience. For example

  • how long you have worked in the specialty or a closely related area, now or in the past
  • participation in a Registrar Training Program
  • additional professional development you have done in this field
  • and any related research, teaching, publications or presentations.

By reviewing applicants’ supporting information, the SPG Leadership Committee becomes aware of the Verified Members in their SPG and the range of practice areas and perspectives within the specialty they cover. This grows the community, at the same time recognising colleagues and resources.

Before completing the form below, please note the following criteria and expectations.

  • You must be a current Full Pharmacist, Technician or Former/Retired AdPha member.
  • You are committing to be involved in SPG activities and regularly engage in the SPG discussions. Because of this, we suggest being a Verified Member of no more than FIVE SPGs.

Please read these additional tips if you are applying to apply to be a Verified Member of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Specialty Practice Group.
